Patrick Farenga is employed as a consultant by small and large businesses, non-profits, and schools who want to learn about or reach homeschoolers and others who “learn outside the box.” His experience as a publisher and editor, as well as author and speaker about homeschooling, will give you solid detail and results for your projects.

Farenga addresses audiences around the world about homeschooling and the work of the late John Holt, often called “unschooling.” He began work with John Holt in 1981 and became President of Holt Associates, Inc. upon Holt’s death in 1985. Farenga also published Growing Without Schooling magazine, John Holt's Bookstore Catalog, and many books, pamphlets, and materials for homeschooling . Among the books he also edited as publisher at Holt Associates are And What About College? How Homeschoolers Gain Admission to the Best Colleges and Universities by Cafi Cohen and And The Skylark Singes With Me: Adventures in Homeschooling and Community-Based Learning by David Albert. He has been interviewed about homeschooling for the NY Times, The Boston Globe, The Christian Science Monitor, and he has appeared on many TV programs including The Today Show, CNN’s Parenting Today, The Voice of America, and NPR’s Learning Matters.
